Knot Passing Pulley

312150 RA/SMC KNOT PASSING PULLEY
For many years, the classic Russ Anderson Knot Passing Pulley has performed as a knot pass pulley, as an edge roller, or as a high-line carriage that will accept multiple track lines. The lower sheave position allows more room for passing knots. The flat bottom provides a solid footing when used as an edge roller. Pins lock the sheave when the pulley is used as a high-strength tie-off. Rotating side plates allow rigging at any point on the rope. The large carabiner holes will accept multiple large rescue carabiners. The 3-inch tread diameter, 2 1/2 inch wide acetyl sheave is mounted on Oilite bushings. The heat treated aluminum side plates are anodized gold.

9000lb (40kN); Weight: 3lb 5oz.

Originally developed as a carriage for extreme high-lines, it also functions as a knot-pass pulley high strength tie-off point, or as an edge roller. The large carabiner hole accepts up to three carabiners. The smaller holes provide clip-in points for tag-lines. The 2 1/2 in. tread diameter, 2 1/2 in. wide delrin sheave is mounted on ball bearings for high efficiency. Comes with a pair of pins for locking the sheave when used as a tie-off point. Flat bottom on anodized aluminum side plates provides stability when used as an edge roller.

Petzl Kootenay Pulley

KOOTENAY HX PULLEY
The new Kootenay HX from SMC is the most advanced Knot Passing Pulley on the market. This is an entirely new and more compact design and lives up to its "HX" (High Performance) name as the lightest, strongest, most efficient and durable pulley of its kind available. Aluminum side plates are used in conjunction with a high-strength aluminum sheave. Sealed ball bearings provide optimal efficiency and help to reduce the performance-robbing resistance that is inherent in most multiple component systems. The primary carabiner hole accepts numerous rescue carabiners. Secondary carabiner holes are provided for use with tag or belay lines. Two quick-release pins may be used in order "lock off" the sheave when a high strength tie-off is required. Adding to its versatility, the Kootenay HX may also serve as an edge roller for rope protection.

CMC Logo CMC CONFINED SPACE RESCUE PULLEYS UL Classified to NFPA 1983 - General Use
Aluminum wheels and sideplates are anodized in contrasting colors for ease of rigging. Unique cam design does not rely on teeth for holding power, but works with a camming action like a Gibbs or Rescucender. Cam locks out of the way for lowering, then releases to protect a raising. Includes a 15-foot cord, which may be attached to either the pin release for the cam lock or to the cam itself for remote activation. For best performance, we recommend using 1/2-inch or 7/16-inch CMC Rescue Lifeline.

CMC Logo CMC RESCUE PULLEYS UL Classified to NFPA 1983 - General Use
CMC Rescue Pulleys have the versatility and performance to meet the demands of rope rescue systems. The CMC Rescue Pulley design resulted from our actual use of pulleys in the field rigging rope rescue systems. The large carabiner hole accepts multiple carabiners. The flat bottom not only manages Prusik Hitches, but also works well with Gibbs ascenders. By using aluminum, we can make the sideplates thicker to give them smooth rounded edges. Wheels are anodized aluminum. Over the years we have learned that Oilite bushings work extremely well for almost all rescue applications.

CMC Digital Pulley

CMC ProSeries DIGITAL PULLEY
UL Classsified to NFPA 1983 - General Use

Knowing how much rope you have out can be a significant help in planning an evacuation. What if you are using a capstan winch for pulling the rope and would like to keep a constant speed? The CMC ProSeries Digital Pulley can eliminate the usual, very rough estimate of the distance to the patient. While not every rescuer needs the system data provided by the Digital Pulley, it can be integrated to make the system safer and more efficient. The pulley has an integral swivel, keeping the digital displays visible. The pulley measures distance in feet or meters and the speed in ft./sec or m/sec. The large displays are easy to read and the distance display remains on until reset. The On/Off button is recessed. Battery life: 1-2 years. The CMC ProSeries Swivel Pulley has the same hardware features as the Digital, but without the electronics.

** MBS per NFPA 1983-2006 not available at this time but exceeds 8,093 lbf (36kN). Contact CMC Sales for updated MBS.

CMC SWIVELS
UL Classified to NFPA 1983

Our new line of swivels is designed exclusively for CMC by Rock Exotica, the originator and leading manufacturer of the rescue swivel. Our three models offer the widest range of performance, allowing the user to select the strength, weight and dimensions that best meet their specific needs. Whether used in a rescue haul system, helicopter operations, or rope access, the addition of a swivel can help prevent system lines from wrapping about each other and can reduce spin caused by loading a free hanging rope. Anodized in the colors indicated below.

CMC Rescue Swivel - The standard size rescue swivel for stretcher systems and helicopter operations combines high strength and light weight. Symmetrical holes provide room for multiple carabiners. High speed, multi-axis CNC machining allows a full featured swivel at a new, reduced price for the best value in the industry.
